For almost 10 years I have taken piano lessons from Elaine Stephenson. She and her family are bursting with musical talent, and her passion for the piano is highly contagious. She is always upbeat and encouraging, and it is a pleasure to take lessons from her each week. I especially enjoy the recitals she organizes each year for the handful of adults she teaches at her house. My kids started lessons with Elaine when they were seven and five years old. My son continued until he was 18, and my 17-year-old daughter will do the same. They stayed so long because Elaine is the kind of teacher who makes learning piano fun, relevant (they picked many of their own songs to practice), and she inspires them to want to be better musicians who both sit down to play all the time on their own.
