Piano + Flute

Elaine is a gifted musician who began studying piano at age 4, she added organ and flute at age 12. She began playing regularly in churches throughout California as an organist and accompanist at the age of 14.

She is a graduate of the University of LaVerne, where she studied pipe organ performance and earned a BA in music and a life credential in primary education.

She began teaching students while still studying in college. She has continued teaching every since, giving back the gifts of music she was given.

Since moving to Meadow Vista in 1990, she has been providing professional music to a succession of students in the local community. She now is teaching students who are children of some of her initial students in Meadow Vista.

Elaine has continued her interest in performance through participating in a number of local musical groups and churches. She is currently Accompanist and Choir Director at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Auburn.

Guitar + Ukulele + Piano

Tom began Piano lessons at the age of 6 and continued to study Piano through high school and college. He continues to study and perform informally. He offers lessons to beginning and intermediate students.

Tom has had a lifelong interest in guitar and fretted string instruments. He has studied with a number of professional performers and teachers. He currently offers lessons in Guitar and Ukulele.

He began studying Trumpet beginning in 7th grade and continues studying, performing and teaching. He is active as a performer in local bands and combos. He has played in professional bands and orchestras during his career in music. He offers lessons to seriously interested students in trumpet.

Tom’s greatest reward is bringing the love of music to adults and children.
